Welcome to our Property Tax Grievance Status Page, a newly created tool designed to keep you, our valued client, informed through the tax grievance process. Here you can find out up to date information regarding your home’s case.
Please see below in order to view your county or town’s current case status:

Nassau County Homeowners

  • To our clients that filed cases between March 2, 2014-March 1, 2015– All cases have been decided, savings have been reflected in your 2016/17 Tax Statement.
  • To our clients that filed between March 2, 2015-March 1, 2016– We are in the process of negotiating these cases with Nassau Counties Assessment Review Commission. All reductions will be finalized prior to April 1, 2017. All savings will be reflected in your 2017/18 Tax Statement.

Suffolk County Homeowners

Clients that filed cases between may 19, 2014-may 19 2015

  • All cases have been decided; savings were reflected in all subsequent Tax Statement’s.
  • Any overpaid taxes were returned, with interest, in the form of a refund check which comes from the Suffolk County Treasurer’s Office. Refund checks were sent out as a bulk check to our office. We normally receive the check between 12-15 months from the resolution of your court date. This date can be found on the colored NYS Supreme Court’s Stipulation accompanied by our office’s invoice* (see example below). After the bulk check is received by our office, your refund is quickly processed and mailed to you within 5 business days of our office receiving it. If you have not received a refund check that you were entitled to, please contact our office immediately.

Clients that filed cases between may 19, 2015-may 17, 2016

  • All cases in the following towns are vigorously fought and won; Babylon, Brookhaven, East Hampton, Islip, Riverhead, Smithtown, Southampton, and Southold.
  • All cases will be heard in NYS Supreme Court during the 2017 calender year.  Please keep in mind that we have no control as to when your case’s court date will be scheduled.

We normally receive the check between 6-12 months from the resolution of your court date. This date can be found on the colored NYS Supreme Court’s Stipulation accompanied by our office’s invoice* (see example below). After the bulk check is received by our office, your refund is quickly processed and mailed to you within 5 business days of our receiving it.
